I was very pleasantly surprised when I visited a new coffee shop that opened just outside my apt complex. In a time when 'coffee shops' seem to propagate like rabbits, this is not your usual 'double-shot, cafe mocha-to-go' kind of place! The atmosphere is relaxed, with lots of light wood, track lighting, locally produced photos, a nice sitting area with leather couch & chair, big screen TV, eclectic music and a very friendly, helpful staff. If that's not all, this is a 'Fair Trade' coffeehouse, meaning (among other things) that the workers that produce the beans are paid fair wages and not abused in any way. Finally, a business less interested in profits than human dignity??? WHAT A CONCEPT!!
For great coffee (too many drink choices to list), excellent sandwiches (I loved the tuna on croissant) and awesome, humongous desserts (the chocolate cake is a killer), check it out...and, oh, if you're around on Thurs - Sat nights, come by for some free live music by local performers!!! WOW!!
