after a long day on the boat, at the beach or whatever you do in the summer.. the perfect place to take a relaxing country drive to have some excellent food and fabulous southern hospitality is... the red roost. love love love this place. the service makes it worth traveling to. plus the wednesday night entertainment... the fun halloween party! and much more.. scrumtious crabcakes.. succulent crabs and steamed shrimp. homemade fried chicken.. hushpuppies, shrimpies, clamstrips.. and of course, smith island cake at the end. and the very best part of the roost??? the sweetest, juiciest corn you've ever had.. love that local corn! :o)
