This small restaurant is a hidden gem!! They serve traditional Mexican food with a nice atmosphere. Friendly and polite staff who are happy you are there. The food is delicious and has the subtle flavorings of traditional Mexican foods. Yes, they do have a section on their menu for Tex-Mex for those who are thinking Mexican food has to be spicy but most of the menu is dedicated to traditional Mexican favorites. Folks, this food is good! You won't be disappointed. If you think that good food has to come from a large kitchen restaurant, you will have a pleasant surprise from this small friendly restaurant.

We used to live in San Diego and this is the best Mexican restaurant we've found since we moved as far as true Mexican cuisine, as opposed to the "Mexican" restaurants that cater to American tastes.

Fare is inexpensive, but excellent. It's a lovely hole-in-the wall place to go if you want to ENJOY your food and not just eat to balance out your margarita intake.
